โรงแรมฮิลตัน พัทยา คว้า 2 รางวัลด้านการดีไซน์ระดับโลก

รางวัลนี้นำโรงแรมสู่การเป็นโรงแรมดีไซน์หรูมีระดับ และกรุยทางให้บริษัทออกแบบไทยก้าวเข้าสู่เวทีโลก

พัทยา ประเทศไทย – 20 มิถุนายน 2554 – โรงแรมฮิลตัน พัทยา ได้รับรางวัลสุดยอดทางด้านการออกแบบและดีไซน์ถึง 2 รางวัล โดย นิตยสารฮอสปิทอลิตี้ ดีไซน์ สหรัฐอเมริกา (Hospitality Design, USA) นิตยสารชั้นนำทางด้านการดีไซน์ เมื่อวันที่ 8 มิถุนายน 2554 ที่ผ่านมา ณ มหานครนิวยอร์ก สหรัฐอเมริกา ด้วยความโดดเด่นทางด้านการออกแบบและดีไซน์ ความมีเอกลักษณ์อันยอดเยี่ยมทางด้านสถาปัตยกรรม โดยรางวัลดังกล่าวได้แก่ รางวัลโรงแรมหรูและมีระดับ (2011 HD Awards: Luxury/Upscale Hotel) และ รางวัลยอดเยี่ยมทางด้านการดีไซน์ (2011 HD Awards: Open categories)

“รางวัลนี้นำโรงแรมสู่การเป็นโรงแรมดีไซน์หรูมีระดับ และกรุยทางให้บริษัทออกแบบไทยก้าวเข้าสู่เวทีโลก”ฮาราลด์ ฟอร์เยอร์สไตน์ ผู้จัดการทั่วไป ฮิลตัน พัทยา กล่าว “นอกจากนี้ ยังแสดงให้เห็นถึงความตั้งใจจริงและความใส่ใจในทุกรายละเอียดของบริษัทผู้ออกแบบทางด้านสถาปัตยกรรม อาทิ MAAR และ S.O.D.A รวมไปถึงอัจฉริยะทางด้านการออกแบบตกแต่งภายในของบริษัทชั้นนำของประเทศไทย อาทิ บริษัท ดีพาร์ทเมนท์ออฟ อาร์คิเท็กเจอร์ และบริษัท ออกัส ดีไซน์ คอนซัลแทนท์

นอกจากนี้ยังมีบริษัทที่ผนึกกำลังในการรังสรรค์โปรเจคนี้ โดยอาศัยแนวคิดการตกแต่งเดียวกันก็คือ “ทะเลและชายหาด” อาทิ บริษัท MAAR (ดูแลทางด้านสถาปัตยกรรม) และบริษัท S.O.D.A (ดูแลทางด้านโครงร่างทางด้านหน้าของตึก) บริษัท ดีพาร์ทเมนท์ ออฟ อาร์คิเท็กเจอร์ บริษัทการตกแต่งชื่อดังของไทยรับผิดชอบในการออกแบบตกแต่งล็อบบี้ ล็อบบี้เลาจน์และห้องอาหารต่าง ๆ บริษัท ออกัส ดีไซน์ คอนซัลแทนท์ ออกแบบตกแต่งห้องบอลรูม ห้องประชุมสัมมนาต่าง ๆ ห้องพักแขกและชั้นผู้บริหารของโรงแรมฯ

การออกแบบและตกแต่งที่เน้นแนวคิด “ทะเลและชายหาด” จะทำให้แขกผู้มาพักได้สัมผัสถึงบรรยากาศอันแสนรื่นรมย์ของการไปเที่ยวทะเล อีกทั้งยังได้สัมผัสประสบการณ์จริงในการมองเห็นทัศนียภาพของทะเลได้อย่างน่าประทับใจ รวมไปถึงการตกแต่งห้องซีบอร์ดบอลรูมที่มีความกว้างกว่า 635 ตารางเมตรด้วยโคมไฟระย้าที่สวยมากโดยได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากความพริ้วไหวของสายลมและประกายระยิบระยับของท้องทะเล

“เราได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากทะเลและชายหาดในการออกแบบบริเวณล็อบบี้ของโรงแรม โดยต้องการให้แขกที่ก้าวเข้าสู่ล็อบบี้ได้สัมผัสกับความเงียบสงบและความอิสระที่สัมผัสได้ที่ชายหาด โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเราได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากความคิดของคนซึ่งยืนอยู่ในน้ำตื้นและมองขึ้นไปบนท้องฟ้าและแสงสว่างโดยมีทรายและก้อนกรวดอยู่ใต้ขา เราใช้สีจาง เพื่อสะท้อนโทนสีที่เป็นกลางของทรายไม้และก้อนกรวดเพื่อให้รู้สึกว่าเหมือนเดินตามชายหาด” อมตะ หลูไพบูลย์ ผู้อำนวยการ บริษัทดีพาร์ทเมนท์ ออฟ อาร์คิเท็กเจอร์ จำกัด กล่าว

Hilton Pattaya Wins Two Coveted Design Awards

Award sets luxurious hotel and Thailand’s top architectural firms on a global stage

PATTAYA, Thailand – 20 June 2011- Hilton Pattaya has been selected for two exceptional awards by Hospitality Design, a premier trade magazine, for its unique and innovative architectural aspects. The publication announced on 8 June 2011 in New York that the hotel emerged victorious in both the Luxury/Upscale Hotel as well as Open categories.

“The awards set Hilton Pattaya on the world stage in terms of design and innovation and we are delighted to emerge victorious,” said Harald Feurstein, General Manager, Hilton Pattaya. “They also recognize the hard work and dedication of Architectural firms MAAR and S.O.D.A together with interior designers, Department of Architecture and August Design who have broken new ground in the area of design here in Thailand.”

MAAR (Lead Architects) and S.O.D.A (façade) joined forces to create an ultra-modern and contemporary hotel that challenges traditional notions of hotel design while complementing the ambience of its beachside location. Department of Architecture Co Ltd, a Thai-based firm, was responsible the hotel’s striking lobby, bars and restaurants while Bangkok-based, August Design, created the innovatively-designed conference rooms, ballroom, guest rooms and Executive Lounge. Drawing inspiration from the sea and beaches surrounding the hotel in designing the various spaces, guests at the hotel will still experience the tranquility of the beach. The hotel’s spectacular 635sqm Seaboard Ballroom features shimmering crystal chandeliers, designed to re-enact the gentle movement of beach breezes and the sea.

“In designing the lobby areas of the hotel, we wanted the replicate the feeling a person gets while standing in shallow water and looking up at the sky towards the light, with the sand and pebbles beneath their feet. When choosing a colour scheme we opted for soft, pale colours to reflect the neutral tones of sand, wood and pebbles. The aim was to replicate within the lobby the feeling of walking along the beach,” said Amata Luphaiboon, Principal, Department of Architecture Co Ltd.

Hilton Pattaya is a stunning 302-room property set in the heart of the city overlooking Pattaya Beach and the Bay, and part of the newly-built Central Festival Pattaya Beach complex.
